United States v. Turner, District of Columbia -- On September 16, 2009, Peter R. Turner was re-sentenced, after an appeal and remand, to 27 months of imprisonment followed by 2 years of supervised release and restitution of $20,500 for conspiracy and bribery. Peter Turner was a volunteer driver for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center and LaTanya Andrews was a payroll technician. Turner and Andrews were found to have conspired to place a forged Federal Employees Group Life Insurance form falsely designating Turner as a life-insurance beneficiary for a seriously ill employee of the DVAMC in that employee
