Mike Morgan is the former president pro tem of the Oklahoma Senate.
A federal indictment last week charges Morgan, now an attorney in Stillwater, with 63 counts. He is accused of conspiring with a lobbyist and an attorney to influence legislation on behalf of two of the three companies.
According to the indictment, Morgan was paid $4,166 per month for nearly three years by one company, and $5,000 per month over a four-year stretch by another, for his help in securing legislation that would help their causes. In addition, he allegedly received $1,000 per month for one year from a company that wanted to limit the Health Department’s regulation of assisted-living centers.
